Genvilo
Your safety

Built to feel safe

A dating app is only good if it feels safe. Here's exactly how Genvilo looks after the people on it — and how to look after yourself while dating, on any app.

Every profile is verified before you see it

Verification on Genvilo isn't a badge you can skip — it's the front door. Before anyone appears in discovery, they complete a selfie check and a short live video, and a human reviews it. That's how we keep out bots, catfish, and recycled photos of somebody else. When you see a face on Genvilo, a real person with that face signed up.

It also changes how people behave. Members who have shown their real face to a review team simply act better than anonymous accounts — verification is as much about tone as it is about security.

Real people review every report

When you report a profile, a photo, or a message, it goes to a human — not an algorithm deciding alone. We review every report, act on the ones that break our community guidelines, and remove repeat offenders. You'll never be told off for reporting something that turned out to be fine; we'd always rather look at it.

Block and report in two taps

You can block anyone, instantly, from their profile or your chat. Blocking is private — they are never notified, and you both simply stop existing for each other. Unmatching works the same way. If someone made you uncomfortable, you don't owe them an explanation, and on Genvilo you'll never be asked for one.

Your data stays yours

Who you're interested in is sensitive information, and we treat it that way: it's used to show you the right people and for nothing else. We don't sell your data, and you can delete your account — and everything with it — whenever you choose. The details live in our privacy policy, written to be read.

Staying safe while dating online

Verification removes fake people; good habits handle everything else. These apply on Genvilo and everywhere else you might meet someone:

If something goes wrong

Report it in the app, or email safety@genvilo.com and we'll prioritise it. If you're ever in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first — then tell us, so the person involved can't do it to someone else.

The short version: everyone you see is a verified, reviewed human; blocking is instant and private; and no genuine person you've never met needs your money.
