One real story beats "I love adventure".
How to answer it
Whatever you do, don't answer this with the word "spontaneous". Tell the one story: the ticket bought at midnight, the yes that made no sense, the detour that became the destination. Scale is irrelevant — commitment to the bit is everything.
Example answers
“Booked a 6am flight at midnight because the fare was £14. Packed in nine minutes.”
“Joined a pub quiz team of strangers. We lost. We still meet monthly.”
“Drove two hours for a sandwich a stranger on the internet recommended. Worth it.”
What to avoid
- "I'm up for anything!" — a personality-shaped fog.
- A story that's really about how much you drank.
Why it works: It proves the trait instead of claiming it — and gives someone a ready-made "so where would we go at midnight?" opener.
