The best trip I've ever taken…

One trip, one detail that made it — not the itinerary.

How to answer it

Nobody falls for a list of countries. Pick one trip and zoom all the way in: the moment, the meal, the wrong turn that made it. The detail is what someone can ask about — and "what was that like?" is a conversation, where "nice, I've been too" is a dead end.

Example answers

“A month cycling the length of Hokkaido.”

“Getting rained out in Lisbon and finding the best café of my life.”

“The night train where I slept zero minutes and regretted nothing.”

What to avoid

Why it works: Stories out-perform lists everywhere on a dating profile, and travel stories are the easiest ones to ask a follow-up about.
